To Moon Valley…..and Beyond. A NiftyVille Tale.

Pineapple Joe was here to write stories, it was what he did, not for a living, at least not how most saw doing something for a living but rather telling the stories of others gave him a reason to live and from what he had heard Moon Valley, Ghost Haven and the other fair hamlets and towns around the area had more stories than most. He heard tales of SVIPS…..Super Villains In Plain Sight….gun fights in broad daylight, organized gangs of street racers and that seemed to be just the tip of the iceberg. The bus he rode in on itself was quite the oddity, plush in a way no bus he had ever been on was plush but serving Miller High Life and Yoo-Hoo. The driver garbed in a tuxedo but openly brandishing a firearm at his bespoke hip. “Be careful” were the drivers last words as he shut the doors and the bus trundled off into the night. Pineapple Joe watched the bus drive off, anxiously amused by these parting words. Turning to gaze upon Moon Valley for the first time he let his eyes take in a long drink of his surroundings. It was 2 AM and the streets were that eerie quiet all streets are at that time of the day. A siren here, what appeared to be a house fully engulfed in flame off in the distance there. The dulcet tones of most of a city at sleep. But the air tasted different here in Moon Valley….it had the flavor of potential…. potential success and potential violence all rolled into one, packaged and ready for whoever was ready to reach out and grab either. Looking up and down the street from the bus stop Pineapple Joe saw an inordinate amount of Lamborghinis and other exotic cars, the park was cordoned off with police tape and men in hazmat suits worked feverishly to clean up a leak of some deadly variety. There were skyscrapers and mansions alongside burned out hovels and shacks. “Every day is a fresh start in Moon Valley” read a billboard above J&J’s Warehouse and as he strolled the streets he could envision so many new days and fresh starts ahead of him here in Moon Valley, the question was would these fresh starts end in a mansion or bound and gagged in the secret lair of a Super Villain…..only time would tell. Pineapple Joe knew the best place to start would be at the upcoming auction, rumor had it 4 properties with stories to be told would be on the block tomorrow at high noon. This was the perfect place to start, taking in the denizens of Moon Valley as they themselves looked to forge a fresh start….
